About Me

Hi, I'm Shawn! Before becoming a personal trainer, in 2009 I achieved my bachelors of science in Health Science with a concentration in Health Care Administration. Around 2011, I began my personal fitness journey and fell in love with the gym and working out. My life improved in so many ways and I recognized this constant craving for knowledge regarding the human body, movement, and function. That's why I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Over the years, I have dove deep into the various facets of fitness and furthered my education by becoming a Certified Sports Nutritionist. For almost a decade now, I have had the pleasure of devoting myself to improving the lives of my clients through fitness and nutrition. And I continue to serve my clients by studying and achieving a multitude of certifications in health and fitness. Most recently, I have become a Certified Pre- and Postnatal Fitness Coach as of 2022! I am a self-proclaimed pregnancy and birth nerd and really enjoy being able to more fully serve that special and specific population. 

Here's how I see it: improving your health through fitness and nutrition shouldn’t be a punishment. It can be an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that has the ability to shape your future quality of life. I believe in finding balance in fitness and nutrition, and while there may be some ups and downs along the way, the betterment of your health and well-being is your reward! Achieving and maintaining your fitness goals should be sustainable without loads of restriction and deprivation. With me, you learn how to change your life, body, and mindset without uprooting your entire world. By making small and consistent changes to your daily routine, you will soon be making strives towards your goals.
